The scope shall include construction management services which consist of the following:  [1] Assist selected architectural firm with the development of a campus-wide North County Technical Center master plan and a South County Technical Center master plan, [2] Develop cost estimated for plan scenarious and associated campus on both the north and south county sites, [3] Construct the Owner approved campus plan within designated time frame; multiple phases will be required and [4] Must provide RediCheck review services.  On 5/1/2007 (Item #22), the Board authorized negotiations with the top-ranked firm.  On 5/10/2007, the Director of Construction Services and two (2) members of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) met with a representative of Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. to negotiate a contract for this project.  This contract covers the preconstruction and bidding services portion only for this project.  The contract for construction will be negotiated separately at a later date.  This contract amount is $496,504.00.  A breakdown of this amount is cited in Exhibit "A" of the referenced contract and is attached herein.  The School Board attorney has approved this contract.  A copy of the contract is available for review at the Construction Services Department.  Funds for this project are available in the capital budget account.
